Experience and Education
Before joining the WSG team in 1990, Teri worked as a fisheries biologist for the Washington Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit on the control of invasive aquatic plants and salmon habitat issues. She also worked for the Alaska Sea Grant Program determining the carrying capacity of shellfish aquaculture operations in Southeast Alaska. Prior to her work in Alaska, she was a biologist and chemist in the University of Washington School of Fisheries, aquaculture/genetics unit, working with salmon, trout, tilapia, sturgeon, clams, and oysters. As a specialist with WSG, Teri works actively on implementing the Puget Sound National Estuary Program plan and has developed a series of publications and workshops regarding nonpoint pollution. Her most infamous topic of interest is the operation and maintenance of on-site sewage systems. Teri is a graduate of the University of Washington.
