Experience and Education
Before joining the WSG Marine Advisory Program in 1979, Steve held positions with Washington State University Cooperative Extension, the Washington State Dept. of Game, and the U.S. Peace Corps, Republic of the Philippines. His current position in the coast field office is a joint appointment with Washington State University Extension, including administrative responsibilities as county director for Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties. Steve is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, and the University of Washington.

Provide educational and technical assistance programming for marine resource users on the Washington coast including:
- The commercial crabber/towboat lane project
- Commercial fishing vessel safety training
- Marine technology programming
- Aquaculture industry development
- Seafood product quality and safety
- Marine education
